Relevant Work & Volunteer Experience

My role as a volunteer youth educator through the Healthy Kids of New Brunswick student organization at Rutgers allowed me to take part in educating the underserved youth of New Brunswick about healthy food choices and lifestyle habits to prevent chronic illness such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. I also assisted in creating weekly lesson plans and workout sessions for each meeting with the kids.

My position as a food server in a steakhouse restaurant has provided me with immeasurable experience in multitasking, communication, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. In this position I served food and beverages while maintaining high-quality formal table service, made sure orders were served in an efficient manner while maintaining a clean work environment, and trained incoming staff members regarding the restaurant's procedures.

My experience as an EMT for my local rescue squad allowed me to expand my patient care experience through assessing each patient to arrive at a preliminary diagnosis, delivering the appropriate treatment, administering emergency medications when necessary, and effectively communicating reports of each case to the hospital emergency room staff. I enjoyed being able to directly help my community.
